In an era where the average Android app size has tripled, ApkBaba was founded to solve a specific engineering challenge: reducing APK/AAB size without sacrificing visual quality. We believe that efficient asset management is key to higher Google Play Store conversion rates and better user retention, especially in emerging markets with limited data plans.
Who We Are
We are a small team of Android enthusiasts and web performance engineers. After years of struggling with complex CLI tools and server-side compressors that required uploading sensitive client assets, we decided to build the solution we always wanted: a zero-knowledge, browser-based optimizer that respects developer privacy.

ApkBaba isn't just a basic image converter; it is a specialized engineering tool built on modern web standards:
- WASM & Canvas API: We utilize advanced browser capabilities to render and compress images with the same algorithms used by native desktop software.
- Material Design Compliance: Our mipmap generation follows strict Google Material Design guidelines for density buckets (mdpi to xxxhdpi).
- Client-Side Encryption: Or rather, the lack of transmission. Since files never leave your device, we eliminate the risk of Man-in-the-Middle attacks entirely.
